Overview of the Project
Overview of the Project

In 2009,
SSM Health Care of Wisconsin (parent company of
St. Mary's Hospital in Madison) and Dean Clinic of Madison, Wisconsin announced a project to build a state-of-the-art hospital and clinic on a 50-acre site in Janesville, at the southeast corner of the I-90 and Highway 11 interchange. The opening of both the new hospital and clinic are scheduled for January 9, 2012.
The project is an exciting endeavor in integrated care, thanks to the 100-year partnership between Dean Clinic providers and the prompt emergency care and hospitalization long-provided by St. Mary’s Hospital. Its convenient location allows easy access for patients coming from Janesville and other surrounding communities.
As part of an integrated system, patients benefit from our seamless transfer of information among care providers, including shared electronic health records. This integration also fosters patient care with accuracy, safety and efficiency. Dean & St. Mary’s maintain a commitment to supporting a healthy community through education, outreach and health care service for all people in need.
St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital is a 50-bed hospital totaling approximately 163,000 square feet. The adjoined Dean Clinic in Janesville encompasses a total space of approximately 150,000 square feet. The 50-acre site incorporates space for planned growth of both the hospital and the clinic.
