Teaming Up to Improve the Health of Families in Our Communities
Dean Clinic and WISC-TV3 Partnering for an All-New Community Call to Action to Fight Childhood Obesity
Childhood obesity has nearly tripled in the past 30 years. As a healthcare provider dedicated to improving the lives of our patients and the entire community, Dean Clinic is taking a stand by launching a local campaign focused on this challenging issue.
Continuing our long-standing partnership with WISC-TV3, we are kicking off “Time for Kids: Recipe for Health.” Launching this weekend and lasting through May 2012, the campaign will focus on ways that parents, kids and our communities can learn to eat healthier, become more active and stay committed to an overall healthy lifestyle.
Watch WISC-TV3 for great stories, nutrition tips and fun events to help kids and their families get and stay healthy. The stories will also be featured on channel3000.com. You can also find great tools and educational information on our Time for Kids web section at deancare.com/timeforkids.
Tune into WISC-TV3’s For the Record with Neil Heinen at 10 a.m. this Sunday to see Dean Clinic’s Susan Isensee, MD and Anne Marie Nahn Bell, MS PT discuss the importance of a community call-to-action on this topic. In addition, many more Dean providers including Kari Hegeman, MD, Joanne Taylor, MD, Michael Trias, MD and Amanda Hellman, RD will be featured in stories on Channel 3, My Madison TV14 and in Madison Magazine over the next month.
