Janesville Campus Will be a Comfortable Place for Patients, Family

St.
Mary’s Janesville Hospital understands that treating patients also
means treating their families well. That’s why it has designed rooms to
be private, spacious and accommodating to visitors. Each room, including
the ICU, will have a pull-out bed for a family member or significant
other. Extra bench seating is included in each room for visitors.
Waiting
for a loved one to come out of a procedure is stressful. That’s why the
hospital will provide restaurant-style pagers so people can visit the
cafeteria and gift shop or stretch their legs until the patient is in
Recovery. The Surgery and OB lounges will feature quiet areas as well as
space for television. When it’s time to meet with the physician,
families can enjoy privacy and comfort in nearby consultation rooms.
The
lobby-level cafeteria’s floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the space with
natural light. An outdoor terrace (and delicious food) will provide
families with a great place to gather and unwind. Nearby, the Chapel
offers space for reflection and the Health Resource Library will provide
computer access and health information.
For those needing some
fresh air, our beautiful grounds will feature a Healing Garden and a
series of trails for walking and biking. Indoors and out, caring for
patients and families during stressful times is our privilege and
priority.
