Dean Raises More than $50,000 for Victims in Haiti
Dean & Dean Employees Contribute Matching Funds
Since sharing with our employees the Dean campaign to provide aid to Haiti in January, the response has been overwhelming. After one week, Dean decided to increase its plan to match employee donations from $10,000 to $20,000. After two weeks, an anonymous Dean physician offered to match another $5,000 in employee donations.
We are now thrilled to announce that our employees have contributed more than $26,000 to aid the Haitian relief effort to date. That brings the collective total just above $51,000 as of the end of February.
For years, a number of our physicians and staff members have been connected to mission and relief efforts in Haiti through a variety of organizations. Dr. Maureen Murphy from Dean Clinic - Lake Delton Integrative Medicine has been involved in the Haiti Medical Mission of Wisconsin for years. Dean & St. Mary's Nurse Virginia Owens has also been raising funds for an orphanage in Haiti and she continues to support children there. These are just a few examples of outreach to Haiti, made possible by our employees.
