Dean Clinic Provider Named 2010 Distinguished Internist of the Year
Philip A. Bain, MD receives honor from the Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Physicians
Phillip A. Bain, MD was honored at the 55th Annual Scientific meeting of the ACP held this September at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. He was named the 2010 Distinguished Internist of the Year by the Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Physicians.
The American College of Physicians honors exceptional effort and contributions to the science and art of internal medicine.
“I am extremely grateful to be honored by such a well-respected organization,” says Dr. Bain. “Looking back, I have been so fortunate to work with so many great colleagues and staff. I am also very grateful for all of the wonderful patients who have taught me so much over the years. It has been a tremendous journey.”
Dr. Bain has served as a general internist and headache consultant for Dean Clinic since 2006. He is the site chief of the Department of Internal Medicine at Dean Clinic East and was awarded the Clinical Innovation Award in 2008. He has been actively involved in the Patient Centered Medical Home pilot project at the clinic. He has participated in a wide variety of clinic initiatives and projects.

Dr. Bain graduated cum laude from Marquette University and earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is currently board certified in internal medicine, has added qualification in geriatric medicine and has been certified in headache management since 2001.
